for neither heteroclinics nor end user programming nor unified pees.

Monika and me are gonna take another step in finishing our walkable storage this weekend.

In parallel after net.objects.days i am rereading Smalltalk 80, bits of history, words of advice. I'm also browsing the "holy" Smalltalk 72 manual that Brian let us copy. What a nice action on his part. This makes me rethink about lots of stuff i've thought about before and see what with many new beams on it. (i don't mention any of the editors of the above books because name - telling becomes name - dropping so easily and i get sick of it.).

Listening and talking to my erstwhile heroine was a strange experience, as expected and nice too. Its dangerous to meet your heroes but it worked out well.

Nevertheless, listening and talking to Brian did a lot more for me. He is a very nice person. Okie dokie!

i'm not going to say anything about Afghanistan here.

Back in the USSA

Been away so long I hardly knew the place... ...a boy about 7 was singing this as we racewalked to US Customs in Chicago...

My return trip was mercifully uneventful. It took an hour and a half in line to check in, and another 45 minutes to get through security. That said, the flight left only an hour late. We spontaneously gave the crew a round of applause when the wheels came down on the runway. A good landing is one you walk away from, indeed.

It was great that you folks made it to Erfurt. It felt like plugging into the Brainy Misfit Karass. I'm nowhere near caught up either. More in a day or two...

...or now. The URL for the one winnerless competion paper I've found is: www.bcs.rochester.edu/~dlee/bcs245/olfaction2.pdf
