How much more can be said about misunderstandings in the process of European unification. And this is only the franco-british opposition. Count in Mediterranean/North-Seaish, Catholic/Protestant/Orthodox/Mulim, what Mr. Rumsfeld cald Old/New etc. and you will know about what kind of culture gaps I talk about.

Most of the time the speed and historical course of the integration process, linguistic, cultural, religious and ethnic, in the US of A is overestimated. But at latest from WWI and into the twenties when American anti-Germanism and antisemitism got their first heyday the domination of English language newspapers, radio and school education developed an integrational force that only ran out in 80ies when it showed that a new non integrated and strong Latino culture is not really touched by it anymore.

I have wondered more than 1 time how Europe should ever become the US of E with most of the Jews gone and England and France (and Italy, Germany and Spain) still clinging to their national government financed cultural identity programs. Mostly so every time I talked to a French programmer who by chance did neither know what a file was nor what a hard drive would be and I had to think hard that it was a fichier and a disque dur respectively.

This is also the day when the British remember with bitterness that contrarily to the end of WWI the French did not stamper the Germans down but with them founded the European Coal and Steel Community, from which the Union stems. Well, Italians, Dutch, Belgians and Luxemburgers where in that racket to, but to the English it just meant they had clinged to the Entente Cordiale for 47 years, through good and bad, only to see France go back to her traditional European, alliances based and continental domination oriented policy 6 years after her costly liberation by the English speaking peoples of this world.

Martin Graf, bleib bei uns!

Wie so oft, habe ich eine konträre politische Meinung. Natürlich ist uns das alles vor dem Ausland peinlich. Natürlich ist das wirklich (ein) Arsch. Klar haben wir eine repräsentative Demokratie. Eh gibt es Gesetze und 2 oder 3 antifaschistische Sprengsel in unserer Verfassung. Klar indiziert die Aussage von M.G. logisch undwiderlegbar die Verfassungsfeindlichkeit dieser Herren.

Das alles wusste man schon vorher. Trotzdem haben ja die Blackies mit ihren scheinbar und schlecht gelernten Kreisky- und Vranitzky-Lektionen dafür gesorgt, dass nicht ein verfassungsmäßig wenig problematischer Ausländerfeind der neuen Schule sondern ein echter, nur schwach getarnter, Altburschoid den Posten bekommt und der Strache nicht wie seinerzeit der Haider schon am Start nachbessern muss.

Ich fand und finde das gut. Wenn er bleibt, wird der immer da gewesene Antisemitismus der Freiheitlichen PÖ wieder sichtbarer. Ich fand und finde das wirklich gut. Nicht, dass es das gibt, gibt es halt. Aber dass die F-ler so weitermachen. Man muss nur immer richtig und geschickt draufhauen, so dass es lange vorgeführt wird. M.G. ex post vom Posten zu entfernen ist nicht der richtige Weg. Lassen wir ihn noch eine Weile werken. Wäre er der erste, wäre sein Abgang eh notwendig. Aber so füttert man damit nur die Gutmenschenweltverschwörungstheorie aller Anhänger.

Martin Graf und andere werden die jahrelang von Jörg Haider gebauten Tarnungen wegräumen. Gut so. Man muss das sehen, um es zu bekämpfen. Wenn der Graf jetzt geht, wird sich nicht nur die Massenpsychologie der Freiheit(lichen) wieder besser tarnen und im Verborgenen weiter wachsen, auch die Spindoktorlis von Mölzer und Strache werden den Vorhang im Hinblick auf die parlamentarische Mehrheitsgewinnung wieder zu schließen versuchen. Niemand soll die Illusion fördern, irgendwer diese schmerzhaften Sachen mit Einzelaktionen doer Einzelmedikation beeinflussen kann. Dafür brauchen wir eine ordentliche Langzeittherapie und keine oberflächliche Symptomdämpfung.

Für die nächsten NR-Wahlen ist, vor allem wenn die EU keine sichtbaren innenpolitischen Verbesserungen schafft, eine relative F-Mehrheit nicht auszuschließen. Wenn die Schwarzen dann umfallen, gute Nacht. Wenn der Graf bleibt, steigen die Chancen, dass H.C. noch arroganter wird und sich in den nächsten 18 Monaten im Strafraum so verdribbelt, dass irgendwer ihm den Ball wirklich wegnehmen kann. Dann wird er vor aller Augen eine Schwalbe machen und kriegt die rote Karte. Buh! Und, wenn's gut geht, ist dann auch noch der Alexander-Jesus-Paulus-Märtyrer für das Abendland-Bonus weg.

Die Integration von Israel und der Türkei in die Union wird eh schwer genug werden. Eine dauernde Auseinandersetzung ist von Nöten. Un dabei ist es besser Antisemitismus und Antiislamismus nicht in den Untergrund zu drücken und dort unsichtbar wieder zu ungeahnten Höhen wachsen zu lassen. Nur so kann übrigens auch die Lueger-Politik von H.P. Martin bekämpft werden.

Jetzt kann die EU die Integration dieser Länder niemals schaffen. Wenn sie und das A-Land, in dem wir leben in 10 Jahren dazu in der Lage sein wollen, dann müssen die nächsten 10 Jahre eine auch eine Menge kontroversielle und vor allem offene Diskussionen dazu erfolgen.

1. Die politischen Eliten sollen wieder mehr hackeln und weniger verstecktes Individual-Networking betreiben und
2. Vergessen wir nie: Beim ersten Mal eine Tragödie, beim zweiten Mal eine Farce, Amen!
