Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) met tech billionaire and rocket science visionary Elon Musk at the reopening of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. "It was a pleasure to meet you and discuss economic policy issues," the Chancellor wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The cathedral had been badly damaged in a fire in April 2019 and was rebuilt by French President and Co-Prince of Andorra Em Macron in 5 years of expensive and complex work just in time for the US election.

In addition to the slightly exaggerated compliments on Musk's economic policy skills, Nehammer also praised Elon's intellectual nonsense media platform X, which, in his opinion, is now once again making a valuable contribution to freedom of speech and opinion thanks to Musk.

Unfortunately, Nehammer neglected to refer to the 14th Amendment and its significance for the US and the entire free world. He could also have asked Musk whether the former liked "Rocking in the Free World" as much as he himself does. With both topics, he would have demonstrated his cosmopolitanism and won back many 40-75 year-old semi-intellectual voters from the 2nd to 9th districts in Vienna and many "Laender"-capitals in Austria for his tortoise party.

Unfortunately there are very few politicians in in current Austrian politics interested and also quick-witted enough for such feats. We even have the impression that if anyone of them were capable of such a thing, like maybe Herr Ludwig or Herr Kickl, they would abstain because they think that would not be popular in the target group they all seem to be fighting for.

Be that as it may, one way or the other, Musk will neither lend Falcons nor Starships to Austria at affordable prices. Sending more Teslas he will in a time when they become less and asked for in relevant markets. So no large gains here either. From what our reliable and well-informed friends in Austria tell and write us the AMFC (Austrian Musk Fan Club) has lost members in recent times. It seems the chancellors briefing department is not quite up to date.

We recommend they conduct more thorough analysis and prepare Nehammer better for the next large international party event he will be invited to.
