Chic Wars: Old School vs. New School

Well me, in women's clothing I like both schools.^*

Now in mens' wear, I am sorry. To look at I prefer an unwearable style: 1930ies upper middle class selfconcious men's suits, shirts and ties with hats 'n' everything. Makes me kinda helpless in fashion.

Well, as anyone who knows me just a tiny bit knows, I am quite reactionary in some respect, so of course, as you can see here, I like the 20ies/30ies/40ies ladies' movie dressing style too. I even got books on that topic. Quite some with mainly pictures in them, and 1 or 2 with the theory. Aaahrg, the prices we always got to pay to our fucking brains.

^*Warning: Not quite fair because both of these ladies are amongst my absolute favorites in persons I like to look at through all kinds of image carrying media.

Abteilung "Strange Google Results"

Auf der Suche nach den ORF.at Kandidaten Interviews konnte ich dieses Ranking finden.

Ein Hoch auf die slowenische Volksgruppenredaktion und ihre Links. Platz 2 in Google gehört Mirko Messner und 4 Jens Ammoser, der BK Schröder ohrfeigte. Die Suche war natürlich feige formuliert.

Ohne Siteeinschränkung blieb Platz 1 erhalten und rückte der Martin Hieslmair, der die wirklich guten Fotos gemacht hat, auf Platz 2 vor. Das Resultat mit dem String in Hochkommas kann jeder selbst erraten.

Endlich haben unsere beiden Helden das erste Foto angeblich exlusiv and Getty Images verkauft. Bei People.aol.com gibt's natürlich eine Galerie und die anderen armen Schweine wie z.B. oe3 können nur verlinken. Honni soit, qui mal y pense.

Mich hat das alles natürlich an meine eigene Kindheit in der tiefsten grenznahen Provinz erinnert und zwar präzise an das Wochenende, als endlich Bonanza aus war, wo ich nur Hoss leiden konnte und Pa, Adam und Little Joe hasste, wie die Pest (nur leicht übertrieben). Da gab es im ZDF nämlich "Die Leute von der Shiloh Ranch". Hieß im Original "The Virginian" und das ist der Typ in der Mitte mit den irren Augenbrauen.

Dank World Wide Web ist es auch gar nicht schwer, relativ genau zu ermitteln, wie alt ich da war, nämlich 13. Im übrigen weiß ich aber nicht mehr so recht, wie es sich anfühlte, 13 zu sein, indessen ich mich nicht so schlecht erinnere, wie es war, kurz nach meinem 14. Geburtstag.

GMX hat zwar in seinem Medienteil (harhar) keine Angaben dazu, aber die Quelle dieser Story wäre sicher leicht herauszufinden: Einstige Luxusvilla von Pitt und Aniston verkauft

Das Grundstück mit 930 Quadratmetern Wohnfläche wechselte nach US-Medienberichten für 22,5 Millionen Dollar (18,6 Millionen Euro) den Eigentümer. Im Grunde hat der namentlich nicht bekannte Käufer, der aus dem Ausland stammen und nicht prominent sein soll, dabei ein Schnäppchen gemacht: Nach der Scheidung von Pitt und Aniston im letzten Sommer war ihre einstige Bleibe zunächst für 28 Millionen Dollar zum Verkauf angeboten worden.

Weil sich kein Interessent fand, wurde der Preis nach einigen Monaten auf 24,95 Millionen gesenkt - um dann für nochmal zweieinhalb Millionen Dollar weniger verkauft zu werden.

BTW1 (by the way one): Bertelsmann as the owner of Random House is going to earn nice money.

BTW2: Did I say already that we went and watched Munich. A great movie in Monika's and my opinion.

BTW3: Pitt's and Jolie's Italian house is nicer than his old Aniston co-owned house and now for sure with 11.25 new millions on Brad's account paying back all the eurocredits will be even easier. Enjoy Brad, you earned it!
